Meta Overview

The absolutely huge Sector Qualifier: Milan, Italy drew 546 players to qualify for Day 2 of the Galactic Championship. More than a quarter of these players chose Jango Tarkintown, and, more impressively, 7 of them finished in the Top 8.
Meanwhile, The Bothan Invitational: Atlanta held 3 total events, each participated by 60-120 players. Jango Fett Red (yes, not a Tarkintown version) won one event, while Quinlan ECL and Cad Bane Blue won the other two. Some interesting decks also made the top 8 cut, which we’ll feature below.
jango-fett-concealing-the-conspiracy-twi-16 and tarkintown-sor-25 were so prevalent in these tournaments, making them the clear top leader and base of the new meta. Now that there’s a big target painted on it, we’ll have to see how the rest of the field adapts to take on this menace.
Tier 1
Jango Tarkintown
A slew of new Jump to Lightspeed cards have pushed this leader/base duo ahead of the rest in this new meta. Though there are several cards vying for inclusion in the main deck, the core cards of this archetype highlight how powerful it really is.
With so many sources of pings, jango-fett-concealing-the-conspiracy-twi-16 can pretty much exhaust a key unit every turn for excellent board control pre-5 resources. Once deployed, however, he can exhaust an opponent's entire board pretty easily.
That's thanks to the new indirect damage and mass pinging cards from JTL. war-juggernaut-jtl-170, ig-2000-assassins-aggressor-jtl-140, and devastator-hunting-the-rebellion-jtl-143 can fire at multiple units. sneak-attack-sor-219 and triple-dark-raid-shd-194 make these plays even more powerful, and all that damage piles up fast.
Interestingly, despite Tarkintown making up the majority of Jango Fett decks, some also ran 30 HP red base versions to top finishes, notably running x-34-landspeeder-jtl-214 and force-choke-sor-139.
Tier 2
Quinlan Tarkintown
Quinlan Tarkintown essentially takes the best Cunning cards and splashes strong Aggression cards such as force-throw-sor-167, sabine-wren-explosives-artist-sor-142, and poe-dameron-quick-to-improvise-shd-153. ahsoka-tano-chasing-whispers-jtl-201 makes a splash here, representing 2-for-1 value with the right trades.
The featured deck below has more Jump to Lightspeed goodies in the sideboard. electromagnetic-pulse-jtl-230, shadowed-hover-tank-jtl-224, and profundity-we-fight-jtl-154 look good for their respective matchups.
Cad Bane Green
cad-bane-he-who-needs-no-introduction-shd-14 and his underworld gang have a lot of payoffs for sticking with the trait, along with bounty hunters such as toro-calican-ambitious-upstart-shd-239, 4-lom-bounty-hunter-for-hire-shd-188 and zuckuss-bounty-hunter-for-hire-shd-190.
sidon-ithano-the-crimson-corsair-jtl-213 from JTL joins the crew as an interesting removal choice. contracted-jumpmaster-jtl-184 is a cheap sentinel in space for a deck that's mostly on the ground.
Sabine ECL
Newer versions of Sabine ECL have been leaning into the strong pilots and ships in its colors, such as chewbacca-faithful-first-mate-jtl-103 and black-one-straight-at-them-jtl-147. While this version did make a Top 8 appearance, the other lists are closer to those from the previous meta.
luke-skywalker-you-still-with-me-jtl-94, blue-leader-scarif-air-support-jtl-96, and phoenix-squadron-a-wing-jtl-95 are in the 3rd and 8th place decks in the Atlanta event. Players will need to do more testing to see whether this or the pilot-heavy variant performs better in this Jango meta.
Quinlan ECL
Lots of JTL cards spice up the solid midrange plays of Quinlan ECL. luke-skywalker-you-still-with-me-jtl-94 jumping into phoenix-squadron-a-wing-jtl-95 or sabines-masterpiece-crazy-colorful-jtl-250 is a sizable threat capable of taking out almost anything in the early to midgame.
electromagnetic-pulse-jtl-230 and electromagnetic-pulse-jtl-230 give the deck more board control, and the ambush ability of x-34-landspeeder-jtl-214 is quite good with buffs. The featured deck and player below won the $6k Pool 1 of the BIATL and finished Top 5 in the $2k pool, showcasing its strength currently.
