WoW The War Within Beginner Guide for Operation: Floodage

Operation: Floodage is a challenging dungeon in WoW: The War Within that tests your team’s coordination and adaptability through some tough encounters. If you’re new to this dungeon, this beginner’s guide will walk you through the key mechanics, important strategies, and useful tips to help you succeed and enjoy the experience. Note that this dungeon can take some time to complete and master, so players can consider purchasing WoW boosting for Mythic+.

Why Is It Important to Know All the Boss Mechanics in a Mythic+ Dungeon?

For timing a Mythic Keystone, the group needs to have good coordination and teamwork to minimize deaths. This way, the group can finish the dungeon with some time to spare. To avoid unnecessary deaths, it's important to understand what the dungeon bosses are doing and play according to the mechanics.

This guide will help people understand what the most crucial mechanics are for each boss in every role, resulting in more optimal decision-making and more timed Keystones.

Big M.O.M.M.A. - First Boss Fight

Big M.O.M.M.A. is the first boss fight in the Operation: Floodgate dungeon. It is a boss with adds, so any DPS class with consistent cleave will perform great. It is also an intensive heal check, meaning the healer needs to be with full mana and all cooldowns ready. Having information about all of the mechanics will greatly benefit your whole party, and it is essential for WoW boost service.

  • Tank: For the tanks, it's recommended to tank the boss next to the wall, on either the left or the right side. Save your defensive cooldowns for the tank buster hit, and help with interrupting ‘’Maximum Distortion” cast by the adds. Once all the adds are dead, the boss will enter a transition phase. During that phase, the boss will take increased damage, and will constantly do unavoidable group damage. Use defensive cooldowns to allow the healer to focus on healing the group. Once the transition phase is over, you will have to move the boss because it will drop electricity on the ground.
  • DPS: Use your cleave abilities until all the little drones are dead. Pay constant attention to the drones and interrupt any cast of ‘’Maximum Distortion’’. Aim the ‘’Sonic Boom’’ ability away from your teammates. Use defensive and offensive cooldowns during the transition phase since the boss is doing AOE damage, but is also taking increased damage.
  • Healer: Keep the tank at max health before every tank buster. Aim the ‘’Sonic Boom’’ away from your team. Help with interrupts if no one else can. Save your healing cooldowns for the transition phase.

Demolition Duo - Second Boss Fight

The next dungeon boss is the Demolition Duo, Keeza Quickfuse and Bront. It is a duo boss fight, so every class that is good at 2-target cleaving will excel in this encounter. The boss fight is a bit chaotic, so high team coordination is a must for completing it successfully. If you struggle with this or any other boss in the dungeon, you can always buy WoW boost to make your job easier.

  • Tank: Make sure to tank both of the bosses at the same place. Move to Keeza Quickfuse when he flies away and be ready to use defensive cooldowns for the tank buster. Position yourself to clear as many bombs as possible when you are targeted by the Bront’s charge.
  • DPS: Distributing your damage evenly to take both of the bosses down at the same time is preferable, but not always a must. Position yourself to clear as many bombs as possible when Bront is charging at you. If you get the debuff, quickly go next to a bomb so you can get dispelled and destroy it. Do not stay too close to the tank if you are a melee DPS, so you don’t get hit by the tank buster mechanic.
  • Healer: Be careful with your positioning as a Healer. Dispel yourself or the DPS only if they are next to a bomb or are going to die from the damage over time. If one of the bosses dies while the other is still up, focus all of your healing on the tank.

Swampface - Third Boss Fight

The third boss in the dungeon is Swampface. This boss requires the team to move in the same direction due to its mechanics. Even one player moves in the opposite direction, the team can cause a wipe and lose a lot of time. Knowing all of the mechanics and guiding your team can help you a lot in your Keystone pushing. Players who have a hard time completing this boss can get a WoW boost service and snatch the rewards quickly.

  • Tank: Always have some defensive cooldown for the tank buster, since it is a high amount of damage, and puts healing absorb. Move according to your teammates when tied together to avoid dying. Once the boss starts casting ‘’Rushing Tides’’ navigate with the team to find the safe spot.
  • DPS: Do not stay too far away from your teammates if you are a ranged DPS. When the boss puts a vine on you and one random player, coordinate and move with them. During the ‘’Rushing Tides’’ phase, use defensive cooldown and move together with your group to avoid damage from the waves.
  • Healer: Make sure the tank is healed to full before every tank buster hit. Unless one of the DPS players is dead, the vines will not affect you. However, players affected by the mechanics will constantly take damage, so you have to constantly heal everyone. Move to the safe spot with the party during ‘’Rushing Tides”, use defensive and healing cooldowns.

This boss requires really good teamwork and coordination, so if you find it challenging to defeat, buy WoW boost to make it more manageable.

Geezle Gigazap - Fourth & Last Boss Fight

Geezle Gigazap is the last boss in the Operation: Floodgate dungeon. The boss does not require as much teamwork as the previous bosses, but it is still a challenging fight. It requires a lot of healing, so any DPS class with good survivability will have an easier time in this encounter.

  • Tank: At the start of the fight, the boss will continuously cast frontal cones all around him that need to be dodged by everyone, while doing unavoidable damage to the party. Make sure to have defense up for the tank buster. Also, be cautious with what is behind you, since the tank buster mechanic pushes you back. During the transition phase, look at where everyone is going, and guide your electrical spark to a free water pool.
  • DPS: Dodge the frontals at the start of the fight. Use defensive cooldown when targeted by ‘’Gigazap’’, and stay away from the rest of the team. Guide your electrical spark to a pool that is not taken by another teammate.
  • Healer: Position yourself to not get hit by the frontals at the start of the combat and during transition phases, and try to heal your team as much as possible. Focus on the players that are targeted by ‘’Gigazap’’ since the debuff will do a lot of damage over time. Guide the electrical spark to the water pool that is not going to be taken by one of your teammates.
